Capitol Analysts Network
In a time of government expansion, Washington politics is playing a larger role in the financial markets than ever before. Accordingly, investors have become much more exposed to political risk. Capitol Analysts Network has spent over two decades analyzing and mitigating these risks for professional investors.
Stuart J. Sweet
President
Stuart Sweet developed his perspectives on political risk from his experiences as a Congressional Legislative Assistant and Legislative Director, an Administration appointee, and as a registered lobbyist.
During his service on Capitol Hill, Stuart Sweet worked as a senior legislative assistant to Representatives Dan Quayle and David Stockman, and Senators Richard Schweiker, John Heinz, and Paula Hawkins. He served in the Reagan Administration and was Vice President in the prominent lobbying firm of Black, Manafort, Stone & Kelly.
Sweet has appeared before the Senate Finance Committee as an expert witness on Social Security, and testified before the Ways and Means Committee. He has made numerous appearances on CNBC, PBS and the BBC, and authored guest editorials for the Wall Street Journal and Investors Business Daily. He founded Capitol Analysts Network in 1993.
